why? why didnt they wait for a new E or CLS class?
SL recently got a facelift so did E class but still E got the new engine

SL is a prestige modell..the E class doesent need a FI 63..look at its competition it doing fine with the NA engine for now..
powerfull AMG cars are always based on either the SL,CL or S.. S debuted the 65, CL the 63 and i belive the SL will be FI 63..
they do not need to make it FI yet..cause it allready has more HP than the competition.. and as AMG decleared the HP power will soften now..and focus will be on other things..
and there is not 1 person here with his mind right that can say that 525hp is not enough by any means..

wow..hihi thnx..
as BMW and M fans ..and most important of all Germancarfans..you all should be happy that AMG are focusing on other things than HP..
and even if you dont like AMG.. you should be happy cause its M competitiors and if they do good..it will only bring out the best out of M division..

I've already said that myself, i like competition, a real competition, and AMG vs. M will be even more interesting in the future i see. More or less the same car, but who has done a better job? They'll force eachothers to work harder and harder... And that's good for us fans i'd say...

A SL63 would do well too. Mark my words-

I believe MB said it best. Thay didn`t want to make too many changes to the already successful pre-f/l SL because the pre-face liftes owners would think their models would drop in value too quickly!

lOl, I second that. Looks like MB put more attention in the design work of it`s sports model than M did with the 6er. I always thought M could have done a little more with the M6.

Im not a huge fan of the new CL. It need a AMG kit to get my attention. Without it, the new CL isnt my cup of tea.
