LOL Sure, all the Greenpeace activists that drive CL are very proud of this.

Do you seriously think MB would introduce these mirrors (that debuted in the C-Class & don't fit the rest of the car's design) in their most expensive coupe that only comes with V8 & V12 engines because of some marginal fuel saving reasons?

Well that what they said about the replacement of the mirrors back then along with better high speed noise reduction,u got a problem with that feel free to drop at ur nearest local MB dealership and elaborate on it..

Making them bigger and more square hardly reduces fuel consumption (or noise AFAIK). You haven't noticed how every manufacturer is introducing their new or facelifted models with larger side mirrors? It's the new EU regulations.

Here I was thinking this really was the facelift this time...this has been posted several times already. I don't know why Mercedes issued the CL with this press release. The CL/S-Class coupe hasn't been shown yet.

Check again. They are clearly bigger and (at least) look less aerodynamic.

^Maybe that's the case with the CL but for the C the new ones are clearly smaller than the first ones.

U really have to see both irl together to notice the size of the C's ones.

What i do not understand is the inconsistancy of MB. Since CL or the new S class coupe is a coupe, meaning sport in MB language, it shoud get the oval or round mirrors the sporty lines SL, CLS, SLK and new E class coupe get and not those limo mirrors.

Well, I'm glad you accept the fact that the main reason to change the CL mirrors wasn't "going green".

BTW CL doesn't have a BlueEFFICIENCY model. And it currently looks like no bigger than V6 engine models will get that badge.

I only thought that coz that was the reason behind changing the C's ones,anyway they look terrible on the CL..
