![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Never mentioned anything about "beauty" concerning the previous CL. I am addressing the "ugly and lack of essence" comment.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The C140 Coupe was very severe and angular....a product of the 80's time period in which it was designed. Its a rare site even today. I still liked it though. M

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree with Jeremy, it's such a beautiful car. I can't find anything wrong with it, and to be honest I haven't driven the CL but the S-class I drove (I believe) had air suspension (ABC) or whatnot and it drove perfectly fine.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I hate that CL generation as well. The design just doesn't flow in my opinion and it lacks the elegance and gracefulness of the W140 S-Class. I never really liked the W140 S-Class either.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Really? ![]() I love that car...Over here we use to call it the " BIG BODY BENZ. That car had amazing road presence. If you saw one driving down the street you automatically thought "There goes a Boss". The W220 was a pretty Benz, but the W221 brought back that "MOBB Boss" look that the W221 had without being boxy. That S-class put the fear of God in people!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yep. Never liked the W140 much. At the time it came out it was considered "too big and too heavy" in Europe. Even as a little kid I knew this and the design just didn't have the grace and elegance of the W126 it replaced. I know that the W140 was big in the US but it was highly criticized in Germany and Europe. The design and the car has grown on me though, but it is still one of my least favorite S-Classes. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh it faced the same criticism here in the U.S. too. M
