The Chrysler forum The Chrysler Corporation began as the Maxwell Motor Corporation, which Walter P Chrysler took control to help it out of bankruptcy. He founded the Chrysler Corporation in 1925. In November 1998 Chrysler became a division of DaimlerChrysler AG, created by a merger between Daimler-Benz AG and the Chrysler Corporation. In 2007 Chrysler split from Daimler to become Chrysler LLC. Chrysler Group LLC was formed after the restructuring of its financing in June 2009.
