Reading this thread, it's funny to see how things turned out...
I mean compared to X6, this new Cayenne looks very, very much like a normal SAV....
Remember that this is the number 1 family car in Porsche's lineup and they wouldn't want to alienate loyal customers who guy the Cayenne for practicality. BMW on the other hand has room to play with the X6 since they have other SUVs to offer like the X3, X5 and the X1 that's on the way. But the car should look more sporty than the X5, ML and current Cayenne thanks to the slanted rear end.
I'm sorry, but is this an Audi or a Porsche? I hope it's just good camo...
The reason you might mistake the size and shape for an Audi is because the car is based on the Q5 rather than the Touareg like the first generation Cayenne. Porsche are aiming to make a more road focused Cayenne in a slightly lighter package. On the other hand, interior space will be a bit more generous compared with the Q5.
Hassan: is the rear Fake ? I mean is their any cladding glued to the back or the windowline will be as shown in the pictures but thicker D-pillar ?
Like I've illustrated rear end sections from the current Cayenne have been glued on to the corners of the test mules disguising the real lights hidden beneath. As for the D-pillar it won't be thicker and the real shape of it is clear visible if you ignore the deceiving white marker outlining a fake green house.
The car is about 18 months away from launch so what we see here is production ready mules with cladding on the bonnet, front bumper, head lights and rear corners.
