I was sitting in the new XF three days ago.
Exterior - I only like the rear.
Interior - tacky and felt plastic.

Never saw it IRL, but from the pics I take the Jag. It does not look extremely premium though, some "Volvo/Ford-ish" aspects, but it looks very good. It's original, fresh, ans the rear is innovative.

The interior looks very good too, and the gimmicks when you start it are lovely. Not sure about the finition and materials.

The Beemer looks incredibly old next to it.
Well, actually it is much older... which makes me think that the Jag will completely fade and disappear from the radar when the new E and 5er will be released. So they'd better sell a lot of it now, because it will get much harder with fresh competition imo...

I also got a chance to sit in the XF this past Saturday and was struck dumb at the quality, or more the lack therof.

I love the thaught of a XF but the 5-series seems to be the better car in far too many respects.

Ooh I thought this was a "look-only" poll (it says pictures).

It's extremely clear that if I had to buy one, I would take the 5er.
I'm not sure the Jag can get close to what the 5er is! I was only picking the Jag for its look, for everything else the 5er is the better car for me!

The Jag is nice but i can't live with the headlights and the int looks too much like an A8,the 5er despite much older it's gonna be the better all round car.

OT will the 5er get the new TT V8 from X6?

I think it is quite fantastic how well the design of the 5-series have held over these years. We have to remember that it was presented some five years ago.
