***Mühldorfer Classic Car Show (Part 14)***

Part 14

Alfa Romeo Spider, a cult car in Europe. The car next to it...a Fiat perhaps?

Honda Prelude

Toyota Landcruiser Jeep and MG

Buick Roadmaster

Ford Thunderbird

Chevrolet Impala

Mercury Cougar. I liked this one, looked hot!

Chevrolet Corvette C4 Convertible

I couldn't quite place this car. The front looks suspiciously BMW-like, but the badge was something different. I am not aware of BMW having outsourced one of their car designs to other firms. If I recall correctly, the name of this car was "Veritas" but I am not quite sure. Anyone have any clue what this thing is? Alright MikeJ, tell me what this is!

Mercedes 300S Convertible

Another unknown sports car. Anyone know what this might be? The name was again "Veritas" if I recall correctly from the badge.

Ford Capri, the European Mustang...

An old Rover sedan and a VW Beetle

Mercedes 300S Coupe and Porsche 356

Ferrari 400

Citroen DS and Mercedes 190D

Mercedes W114 Coupe and a Mercedes 319 truck.

Oldsmobile 98

Opel Manta A

Chevrolet Camaro with a Mercedes W114/W115 next to it.

A 1950s Mercedes-Benz Firetruck. The design was closely based on the World War II 1500 models from Mercedes.

Buick LeSabre Convertible: I always thought the LeSabre was strictly sedan only!

Jaguar XK Coupe, lovely!

Pontiac Bonneville

Mercury Montclair

Various firetrucks...

Customized Citroen 2CV!!!! This thing was funky! It was made into a 2-door and convertible!

END OF PART 14

Veritas - Germany 1946-1952:
Founded by ex-German motorcycle racing champion Ernst Loof and some ex-BMW employees, Veritas first built sports and racing cars with the pre-war 1971cc BMW 328 six-cylinder engines. It also produced a few coupés and cabriolets with this engine, as well with ohc 1899cc six-cylinder Heinkel motors. In conjunction with the French Panhard factory, Dyna-Veritas cars with ohv 744cc flat-twin Panhard engines were also built in small numbers. Lack of sufficient funds eventually led to the demise of this make, which also produced Meteor 2-litre FII racing cars. Successful Veritas racing drivers included Kling, Pietsch, Ulmen, Helfrich, Lang and Hirt.
