***Mühldorfer Classic Car Show (Part 3)*** (56K Warning)

Teil Drei

THIS WAS MY FATHER'S FIAT TOPOLINO Type A!

It's actually an NSU-Fiat meaning it was built by NSU in Germany under license. 500cc 4-cylinder engine with 13-horsepower and a top speed of 75 km/h, 90 km/h when going downhill according to my father. My father drove this car all the way to England as a young man when he had an internship in Plymouth at a British brewery. Must have taken forever with 75 km/h top speed eh?

The car is currently in Moosburg, which is part of the county of Freising, hence the "FS" license plate. The owner is still the guy my father sold it to in the late 1960s! This was awesome. My father's first car shows up at a classic car show in Mühldorf. What a small world!

Opel Commodore Coupe

Anyone know what these older VWs were called?

Porsche 911 and Auto Union 1000SP

Porsche 911 and a beautiful MG Roadster

Auto Union 1000SP with the top down, good opportunity to take a shot of the inside...

Classic Renault Caravelle

Opel GT

Plymouth Barracuda. This thing was so hot and badass. 383cid V8 under the hood. Anyone got the specs?

The Barracuda and a Porsche 911, a car that was probably around when the 'Cuda roamed the streets...

Cadillac Seville with terrible wheels.

Beautiful VW Bus. Brings back the memories of my hippy days in the 1960s...wait a minute, I wasn't even born yet!

And another shot because it was so lovely (digging the color combo)

BMW Isetta with 13-horsepower 1-cylinder engine. This car has cult status in Europe.

The legendary Citroen SM with a Maserati V6 engine. I don't know about you guys, but I like it. Beautiful.

Jaguar E-Type and Porsche 911

Mercedes W115 200D (55-horsepower) Hearse.

Opel Monza. This was a pretty good-looking Opel in its day, still is.

Ford Mustang, I think...

This car was called "Champion". There was a little history written on the piece pf paper behind the front windshield, but for some reason I didn't read it!

Anyone know which Chevrolet sedan this is? Caprice? Malibu? I tried looking for references but there was nothing. The air slits on the trunk made me think it was rear-engined (Corvair?).

Jaguar XJ

Porsche 928S

Mercedes-Benz 230GE from 1979!

Mercedes-Benz 500SE (W126). The wheels add a hue of sportiness to an otherwise elegant and classy car.

END OF PART III

That's the so-called Typ 4 (cue the plate), the actual model name was 411 and later 412.

Early 70's Impala or Caprice... not quite sure.

The SM has always been a favourite of mine. My favourite toy car, when I was young, was an SM.

It still looks like no other car. I wish Citroën would build cars like this again.
