From observation, the 202's were much better built than the 203's. While the 203's may have better driving dynamics, but signs of cost-cutting on MB's part are obvious. This is especially true with the Mk1 (1st four yrs) of the 203's.

I disagree. I owned two 202 style. Great solid car. But, it did not wow with material quality. The dash plastics were very bland IMO, and it was very behind the times in terms of lay out and style. I loved the charm of this car, but my 07 203 has much better materials, and there is no comparison in the drive. The 203 runs circles around the 202.

The 190 may have been something in the 80s, but by the 90s it was pathetic and sad that you could pay $30k plus for such a piece. Again, a solid car, but way over priced and the back seat was only good for amputees.

I think the W203 is my favourite, but only the F/Led version, didn't really like the older Cs!

my family owns one
it's a 94 C280 american spec
fully loaded, great build quality
and it's the only MB i love to drive, very powerful, veyr smooth
