| Re: Mercedes sportcoupe Huckfedlt CGI Basiclly the article says the Management changed their mind again - now they will build a SportCoupe successor. Initially the project was put on ice along with the other models such as SportCabrio & CLE (CLK based 4-door coupe). Now the "new" SportCoupe will be built - not a newly developed car, but a current model with completely new body sheet. So, old technology - new design. |

Development of W204 based SC would take too much time - a few years at least. And there would be a gap in the model line for quite a time. So, now the will only completely reskin the current W203 based SC and offer it as a new SportCoupe. This also means no goodies from new W204 C-class (Commnd III, pre-safe, 4-matic, driving asstance systems etc). Yes, smart, A-class & B-class are FWD! | |
