Nice review Christian. Too bad we don't get any of the diesels in the US. I can't wait until the Bluetec models make it here. You might complain about the handling, but on US highways, it should do just fine. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to NarutoRamen For This Useful Post: | | | Enthusiast

Anytime.
Nope, the door handles of this C320 CDI didn't have chrome. This was something on the W203 C-Class but it looks like Mercedes got rid of it on the W204. I think I know why too: it might look a little tacky on the W204 body. Quote:

I've driven the W202, W203 and W204 C220 CDI's and they're all quick! | | | | | The Photo Phanatic

Well the handling was ok, but the car felt heavier and the lighter almost vague steering feel didn't help. The lower end and lighter models felt easier to control. But you're right, such a steering setup will be perfect for long-distance cruising like on American highways or even the German Autobahns. In effect most people buying a C320 CDI anyway are the "old man" crowd who are more into relaxed cruising than sporty driving. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to cawimmer430 For This Useful Post: | | | The Photo Phanatic

It makes quite a difference on mine, extremely light when parking, and quite firm and direct on the motorway. | | | | | The Photo Phanatic

It was possibly tuned differently though.
I agree though, on other models the Paramterlenkung really helps. It's a very comfortable feature. | | | | | Enthusiast

Parameter steering, factory code 213 is standard on the (UK)Sport package only, and for an extra UK£205.00 on all other models, is this different for the Mainland European market? | | | | |
