Good question! If you can formulate an acute question(Sorry, too brain dead to indulge in tedious thought) I'll happily shoot it over to the ENCAP to wait for an answer then post it here(since I actually care to do so).

Well I guess I have several. What is the main reason for these new pedestrian regulations? Where are the problem spots in Europe where cars and humans are meeting each other in the wrong way? Why not just fix/redesign the road/sidewalks etc. etc. so that people and cars don't share the same space?

I'll send that out tomorrow to the ENCAP, you have my word.

To carry on discussion on the W204, a new pic to me:

The last SLK's (R170) rear lights design featured on mercsedes cars that followed after it. The C, E, S, CL all had the same rear lights as the SLK.

Its the same this time round too. If you look at he new SLK (R171) the rear lights design is on the ML, S, CLK, E F/L and now the new C class looks like it will look like that too.

Just thought id share something I noticed in MB's design strategy from the SLK and onto other models

Thats what I was thinking about too. If things get worse will MB bring the C class debut to Paris 06 or will they stick to Geneva 07??

Mercedes are in DESPERATE need of the new C and facelifted E. That Audi managed to so clearly outsell MB in the first month of 06 despite a much smaller product range says a lot about the dire state the company is in.

But not only do they need the new C ASAP, it better be damned good at that!
