Edit: PS. 95 RON gasoline is 22 Euro Cents a liter here in Egypt and it's not that the Benzez eat up a lot more gas than my 1.6L Peugeot 307SW, I would say only 10-20% more. On the other hand, I don't like the C280's range because it holds 25% less gas than the E, so fill ups are more frequent. The first few days I thought there was something wrong when the needle dropped to 1/4 tank after about 300 Kms (in heavy city traffic) but when I filled her up with 4X Liters, I realized what was wrong as the E would need 6X at this stage.

Well the weight differences you posted don't look so bad on paper - but in real world driving conditions its vastly different. The W211 E-Class E200 Kompressor I drove wasn't very fast or agile. The W203 and W204 C200 Kompressor's on the other hand are quick and agile. All of them were driven with the 5-speed automatic transmission. I suppose different gear ratios also play a part, but those few extra pounds on the E-Class make a big difference IMO.

hey nice test

nice to see the interiro colour it looks very nice.i like that colour and i do like the interior off the c class i defiantely prefer it to the 3er

and exterior wise also looks nice i see the elegance really looks classy in some colours


for me the c220cdi as i own one i like the engine its got plenty torque and good power


its a good engine for the car i feel its the best for the c class
