***Mercedes-Benz S204 C-Class Estate Premiers in Mühldorf***

And Wimmer was there, of course.

So on Saturday I was invited to the launch of the new Mercedes C-Class T-Modell. She looks pretty good in real life. The Elegance line looks a bit bland, but the Avantgarde trim looks really classy and sporty. The trunk looks a bit small (I'm used to seeing the large trunk of our E-Class sedan!) but I suppose it's within good limits for this class.

Here are the pics. I waited until the end of the presentation because that meant less people crowding around and better pictures. Some shots are grainy because I used a quick shutter speed and high ISO level.

C200 CDI T-Modell "Avantgarde"

C230 T-Modell "Elegance"

Another C200 CDI T-Modell "Elegance"

The dealership also used this opportunity to show-off the new AMG sports package for the C-Class. Here's a C200 Kompressor AMG. This is exactly how the one I drove looks like, except this one has the AMG wheels on!

One of the salesmen turned on the "top lights" for me. Looks awesome.

Lastly, some pics of the inside of the dealer for Monster, Mr. M etc.

Great dealer!!! The dealer in Hanover just add a new building to the "old" showroom! I will take some photos, when I'm back at winter holiday!! Thanks for sharing those pictures, Christian!

Nicely writen!

The C has an extrodinary exterior but when those interior pics hit my eyes I almost vomited. How the hell can a brand like Mercedes-Benz realese a car with such low quality interior. I mean, It's Mercedes for good sakes, I love the E, CLS, S, CL-Class bit this is just so wrong. I've driven the C a couple times so I'm not only going by the pics.

This is exactly like I feel!! Christian will hardly disagree, but I don't like the quality of the C-Class Interior. I hope, that the new E-Class will get a better interior and not a C-Class one!!

I think he will disagree.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with the quality of the interior. I've yet to spend enough time to thoroughly examine the new A4 interior but the C-Class interior is quality-wise on par with the 3 Series. The problem that most people have with it is the design and the relatively small trim panels not the actual quality.

Re: ***Mercedes-Benz S204 C-Class Estate Premiers in Mühldorf***

Thanks Christian, these photos are excellent as always, and thanks for the photos of the dealership, it is just so much better and bigger than what we have in Sydney. How old is this dealership?

Does the rear end of the C-class look wide and square after seeing it in person?

I have to disagree with all those people who criticise the interior quality of the C-class. After spending some time inside the car checking, moving and poking at everything, I am impressed with the quality if the interior. The interior might appear to be cheap because it is dominated by black plastic trim but the plastic have fine texture and they are soft to touch and non slippery. The major controls feels solid and precise, (the aluminium Command rotary control feels so nice to use), and the level of fit and finish is equal top of the class. The only criticism I can make is that the air con rotary nob feels loose and cheap to use.

Those top lights looks very nice. They outline the front corners of the car and it gives the car an angry eyebrow look, if only MB use LED instead of normal lighting for them, it will be even better.

Btw Christina, no photos of hot babes?

I agree. The W204 C-Class is way up there with the big boys in terms of quality. I think maybe even surpassing the E90's.

Thanks.

About the interior, I usually say that it's well-made and certainly a huge improvement over the W203, but it just looks spartan. Also, flash photography makes everything look plasticky and "fake". I should have taken the photos without flash, because that will show you the true colors of the interior.

All in all though the interior is quite nicely made and feels premium. I actually prefer the Avantgarde interior because the darker colors and brushed aluminum make an excellent color combination and emphasize sport.

Thanks.

This is Europe.

People don't really want or need leather, even in luxury cars. My family's E320 for example has a 50-50 cloth-leather seat combination, which IMHO looks much better than 100% cloth or 100% leather. Bottom line though is that a luxury car is still a luxury or premium car here without leather.
