![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sportauto N-ring time: C63 AMG C63 AMG has now been tested by Sportauto on Nordschleife. Tested with raised topspeed, 030-Package and Corsa tires (R-tires). It will be official early next year but lets try to predict the result now For preference, R8 did it in 8.04 min, RS4 in 8.09 min and M3 V8 in 8.05 min (all three also with R-tires). |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Sportauto N-ring time: C63 AMG Hmmmmm.......tough one. It's too bad Sport Auto didn't test the standard CLK63 AMG or CLK63 Black Series on the Ring, as that would have given some state of reference for the 63 series engine. I would hope that the C63 can achieve a Ring time faster than the RS4. If not, it would be a disappointment for me. Can it be faster than the M3? It can if all the hype about significantly improved handling is true. If it can stay with (or just be slightly behind) the M3 in the corners, the C63's significant acceleration/power advantage will help in the long straights and possibly gain significant time over the M3. Remember, even the "old" C55 could match the previous E46 M3's time of 8:22 minutes (both with stock street tires), even though the C55 did not have a significant straight line acceleration advantage (at least no where as big as the advantage the C63 has over the E92 M3). But for this poll, I choose a time between the RS4 and E92 M3 (to be conservative). |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Sportauto N-ring time: C63 AMG I think the C63 has a good chance to equal or beat M3 around the Ring. It is a high speed circuit and C63 should have an advantage there. |
