Good question! The C 63 AMG only need 0.7 litre more fuel then the M3! But the min. and max. data of the fuel consumption differentiate by 1 to 2 litres!

Maybe they had to rate the C 63 AMG with 4 stars, because the C 230 won over the Lexus...and to calm all the critics, that AMS will overrate Mercedes, they only give 4 of 5 stars!

Right, but you don't need 1800kg for high-speed stability, 1600 or 1700 would be still enough to do well on the Autobahn.

When comparing with the M3 test results the C63 also achieved slalom, ISO and VDA results that are worse. For sure a great car, but there are differences which "could" lead to a 4 star result. If it's that much of a difference to get 4 stars? I don't know.

Best regards, south

But the engine can only make up for the weight in a straight line, around a track, the weight will take its toll.

Think these points aren't mutually exclusive. The steering can be precise but kinda numb nonetheless. That's also a point some journalists did criticize about the M3. Nobody did doubt about the precision of the steering, but some said it lacked feedback. Seems kinda the same here; would be interesting to know which is less sensible, M3's or C63's...

That's unbelievable. Not even one grand more than the M3, but this seems to make it expensive already.

Best regards, south
