Re: [scans] AMS: Mercedes C-Class BUYING ADVICE

Ok guys, here's the translations of the plus and minuses for each model. Sorry for the delay, been busy.

C180 Kompressor
+Adequate performance
+Smooth engine (low vibrations)
+Acceptable fuel consumption
+Good price

-Average midrange performance
-Loud at high RPM
-Unrefined manual transmission
-Low on standard features

C200 Kompressor
+Better performance than the C180 Kompressor with practically the same fuel consumption
+Low noise output
+Affordable maintenance costs

-Loud engine at higher RPMs
-Delayed engine response if coupled with automatic transmission

C230
+Very refined engine
+Good performance

-Engine response could be better
-Not rev-happy
-Adequate midrange power
-Expensive maintenance costs

C280
+Powerful
+Good midrange power
+Quiet and just as fuel efficient as the C230 with slightly higher running costs

-Loud engine at higher engine speeds
-Poor standard features for its price class

C350
+Comfort
+ Good performance

-Subjectively seen, could use more power
-Expensive
-Poor standard features
-Poor resale value and depreciation

C200 CDI
+Extremely fuel efficient
+Range
+Excellent retention of value
+Acceptable performance

-Drop in performance with extra payload capacity
-Slight comfort problems due to higher weight on front axle

C220 CDI
+Excellent engine and power band
+Cultivated engine
+Engine works well with automatic transmission
+Best value-for-money of all C-Classes

-Loud engine when motor is cold
-Could be a bit more fuel efficient

C320 CDI
+Massive torque reserves
+Refinement
+Expensive, yet superb 7Gtronic harmonization with motor
+Good fuel economy

-Delayed engine response
-Expensive running costs

Re: [scans] AMS: Mercedes C-Class BUYING ADVICE

The list shows the costs for each car for a month.

Example:

C 180 K

When you would drive 40.000 km a year, the C 180 would cost 672 € a month without depreciation and 1004 € with depreciation!

Then you can compare these costs to the one of the C 220 CDI!

As you can see, the C 220 only costs 586 € (954 € with depreciation) - so it would be cheaper (running costs) when you would buy a C 220 CDI, when you would drive more then 40.000 km a year!
