Hi All

So I've now done 7000km And loving her more and more each day. Went in for the BRABUS D3S Upgrade today and OMG! what a difference... 162KW (220BHP) and 480NM....yes...she pulls like a beast, but still very smooth...

Wow great upgrade! What about waranty from MB? Do you violate it by upgrading it? How is the fuel comsumption after the upgrade? How is the upgrade made? And finally how expensive is it?

Lot of questions :-)

Thanx!

Re: South African Reader test: New Merc C220 CDI

Don't know about other countries, but in the UK the Brabus D3S unit is sold and fitted by MB dealers as a sort of "approved" accessory. As long as it's fitted before the car has covered 20,000 miles then the warranty on the drivetrain components changes from 3-years unlimited miles to 3-years, 60,000 miles. The rest of the warranty is unaffected. Cost in the UK is circa GBP 1,500.00 + fitting (about 30mins labour). HTH...
