I don't understand why everybody here seems to hate the SC and to hate the idea of it based on the W203!

I've always liked the SC, quite good-looking car especially withe the giant panorama roof.

Sure it would have been better to base it on the W204, but honestly the real target of this car was the Young peaple, disliking vans (like A and B class) and without enough money to buy a CLK. These young people would naturally buy a C-Class, once having a family, etc...

Trouble is, it was overpriced for that category.

So the idea of a W203-based, but lower-priced Sportcoupe seems rather good to me!!! If the price is low enough, it could be a very good entry-level Mercedes!

Honestly, I would even take a W-202 Sportcoupe over an A-class!!!!
I hate these vans, too high and with a strange driving position, more noisy ans less comfortable, with a less comfortable interior too...

Concerning the facelift, well the rear will be different too because it will loose that bit of plexi on the higher part of the case door (hayon?); the rear will be more conventionnal, but more modern too.
The front will be fully different...

My only concern is the side, hope there will be some changes here too... And for the interior, don't know if it will be W204 but I'm sure it will be improved too.

Good review as a Golf owner

Don't worry man. Pure Sarcasm. I don't like the car for a bit. It's a car for 40 years old newly divorced women living in a single bedroom flat in the inner city. You usually catch them at your local supermarket between 10:00-14:00.

I've driven a couple of C-Coupes a few years back as service loaners when the local dealer was stuck with them, I guess. They both had the rock-crusher 4-cylinder engines which are very coarse and noisy. I've never seen so many shades of black inside any car.

Just plain awful but they do appeal to kids who want the status (I guess) but don't have any money. These things, like the Porsche 924, should be called back and sent to the crusher.

I've driven a couple of times a friends' CS 220cdi, and really I don't understand what you have against that car. well finished, good-looking, a real Mercedes for me, and with the panorama-roof a really cool interior.

I've driven an 120d also, and don't understand what you have with that car.

Looks awful, finished like a Smart with an awful-gray plastic-interior, as comfortable as a .... well, let's it, won't be too harsh, it's a BM after all, so forbidden to criticize, eh!

Yes it is cool to drive, but not that fabulous, and a W203-II CS is really really not that bad to drive! (and it has what people call suspensions, which is really a good thing if you want to drive more than 10 miles and feel good in your car)

Take a look at an A3 or a Sportcoupe and see what a real car is. Not a plastic toy looking like nothing. And ridiculously, fast obscenely overpriced.

Of course I exagerated, but seriously the CS is not that bad !!
