If Carlsson is spot on then thats the numbers I have had in my mind for a long time

I voted for the 440-460-hp region, probably 450-hp as most estimates and professional guesses claim.

331 kW (450 hp) has been my prediction for a long time.

I strongly believe this the c63 will pack about the same power of the current CLK63 Cab, or 485 hp. MB will not pull out punches just because BMW infused 420 into their M3, just like BMW will not pull punches in their other ingredients that make the M3 a sharper knife than the C. What I mean is, every player will bring to the table what they do best, and power is one such ingredient in the MB arsenal.

I'm pretty sure it'll have 450bhp, that figure has come up a lot!

BTW, I noticed on Autocar's website, they claim they are driving the C63 on the 4th of July, wonder if that's a typo!

Good points but the C63 will not have more ponys than the CLK63.
The CLK63 stands at 480ps (475hp). 450ps is just right. Besides anything north of 25hp compared to the competition is a big gap. This cars` going to be really fast!!

I think it's going to be around 445-455hp. That's not what I'm interested in though. I want know the torque. As we all know the torque on the E92 M3 is a bit low but flat. I wonder how it is on the C63?

Pity that the only thing to look forward to about an otherwise exciting car - short of a full road test - is how much HP the marketing dept decides to bestow on it.

On paper the horsepower should be a bit below the E63 but when they do dyno comparisions the HP numbers will prolly be the same. just like how the E55 and S55 are. Its all marketing..
