Re: Edmunds Inside Line - Full Test: 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport

The C350's performance is merely adequate. We hate to be horsepower mongers, but feel the minimum ante into the entry-level luxury-performance sedan category ought to be 300 hp.

Oh please.

I can't believe they said the performance of the C350 is "merely adequate". Hello!? This car has a 272-hp V6. That's powerful enough. It's short on power compared to the competition, true, but there's definitely a power boost coming soon. The folks at Mercedes' aren't stupid.

Styling is subjective. Personally I think the W203 looks outright boring compared to the W204, which I feel looks far more dynamic and elegant at the same time.

Overall, the review didn't really sound to thrilled. What's wrong with Edmunds? I thought they were Eurofanboys?

With the right colors and rims, the Elegance version looks stunning. Check out this picture.

I have to agree with you Christian that the Elegance trim really suits the Merc well. I know you all like the sport trim the best, but I actually really prefer the elegance model because I'm a snobby Mercedes traditionalist I suppose

Edmunds was much too harsh.

It is better but I feel the that grill doesn't go with the rest of the front end or may be it is the knowledge that there is a better looking version out there .

Why was my thread deleted when it wasn't a repost? No big, but I don't get it... do we show partiality towards certain members and not others based upon their "brand alligance"???? This forum just keeps getting weirder and weirder.....If that's the case I'm ship'n out.

If that's the case then my contributions here are DONE. I spend time here posting because I like to, or did. There are a lot of things that have changed here that I don't like and have no control over, so the one thing I do I'm changing. Peace out yall, wish many of you the best. If you think this is in vain...well, you'll see.
