Hi MrsMerc, no i am not from Sydney and but I had the opportunity to drive and play in the new w204 in melbourne last week. I can't say how I came about driving the new c-class but I can say that there are plans for a c230 (2.5L V6) and C320CDI (3.0L V6 - ML320CDI motor) versions to be available very late this year or early next year and definately no plans for the C350 in Australia. Poor sales of W203 C350 put an end to that. If you want power, go the C63. BTW, C280 under full throttle sounded great. C200 was a real surprise, the steering feel is magnificent. Massive improvement overall.

Was it by any chance a Green Elegance model? Saw one along Brunswick Street last weekend. Thought it was a W221 from afar but as it came closer, it really stood out.

I received an invite last night from my dealer and they are launching the W204 on the 27th July near Luna Park in Sydney. Can't wait.

Hey Chung, yes it was a green C200 Elegance and a white C280 Avantgarde with an AMG pack with panorama roof. Your right about it looking like the w221, I thought the same thing when I saw it from a distance. Speaking with a Mercedes rep the other day and he said that there are over 80,000 back orders in Europe alone for the W204. This thing is going to be another massive step forward for MB. Can't wait.

The MB Australia website has been updated to include the W204 C-Class price and options.

I'm very impressed. The options have actually dropped in price compared to the W203. Still expensive but........

I get a chance to see the car IRL this Fri Nite too.
