i'm looking to upgrade my 2003 c230 komp. hatchback but i don't want to buy a new car. all i can find is a borla exhaust system for $982. any recommendations?

If memory serves me correctly, the 2003 C230 Sport Coupe came with a supercharged 1.8L inline 4.

When you mean "upgrade", I assume you mean increasing engine power output. Or do you mean upgrading the handling as well? Of course there are cosmetic mods too.

With regards to increasing engine power, the most typical things include high flow air filters or bigger air box altogether, pullies, ECU re-program, and headers/exhaust.

From a handling point of view, there are many aftermarket options (as well as AMG) to change the shocks/suspension. Of course, larger rims with performance tires also adds significantly to the stock setup.

yeah, i was mostly talking about performance. thanks for the info. what do you mean by high flow air filter though? cuz i havent found any intake systems, just filters. do those really help that much?
