I did these chops in a hurry, but I put the classic grill on the AMG Package. As much as I love the starred grill (or grilled star ) For sedans, I still prefer a traditional Merc grill with the star on the hood. I've said it before, and I'm saying it again: the MB logo is a timeless masterpiece. It just looks SO good standing on the hood, and will do so centuries from now. Not many other car logos can look good standing up.

Bringing the star-grill into the sedans seems very refreshing, but I hope that in the future we can choose what grill to put on the car. This would give MB a unique stand over the competition. It did away the classic grill on the current CLK, which pissed me off . OK, don't get me wrong, the coupe grill is nice. But it's already on all of Mercedes non-sedans (and non-wagons, too.) The CLK was the only one in the line-up that had a hood star. Actually I think it was the only coupe and convertible on the market that had something like that. Now, that little unique thing is gone.

Remember a spy photo from bmh.images a while back showing a combination of the classic grill and AMG package? Someone please tell me we will be able to choose the grill!!! Can we? Huh? Huh?

Although it used to be reserved for sport Coupes and Cabriolets, I believe the CLS 'broke the mould' and led to the C-Class donning a similar grill-star insignia. Personally I think it looks better with the grill-star, makes it look a lot more sportier. Thanks for the chops anyway.

I agree with you though, MB should allow for options. However with this I'm afraid it might increase costs substantially because there would be two versions of an AMG package.

Even if MB doesn't offer the more traditional grill as an option on AMG packages, i am sure owners can change it afterwards.

Great photoshop! Right now, I'm still undecided about whether I like the big star on the grill of the avant garde/AMG sport models. Your photoshop certainly is making me lean towards the conventional setup, though.

Still going to wait until I see one in real life before passing my final judgement.

They look pretty good. I wish MB offered an option like this, where you can have an Elegance C-Class with the AMG body kit.

I do think the big star on the grille doesn't look too bad, but this is equally hot. Nice 'chops once again.

Damn that does look nice. Good job man. I wish they would allow you to choose the grill but I guess that wouldn't be cost effective.
