The first picture you posted is the pre-facelift W203 gauges (my old 2002 C240 had those). What's the 2nd picture? Is it the pre-facelifted W203 Sport coupe?

And you didn't show the facelifted W203 gauges in your comparison.

The gagues above actually look pretty good. Unfortunately this was also the point where Mercedes started killing their "classic dials" in favor of the new look.

Please know, I'm just really nitpicking here. Today's Benz dials are alright, it's just that I know they can do better. To me, the gauges are the punctuation mark at the end of a car's entire design.

i have those in my C..they are super.. nothing wrong..very nice and icy look..
i actually love MB gauges especially those on CL and S.. this and previous generation

The thing I love the most about the S-Klasse's speedometer is that it doesn't exist.

Would be funny if you could hack in different fonts, or even "skins" for your speedo.

well you can in a way
for example at brabus..or other tuners like inden design..they can add a logo for you.. im sure you can work out.. so they can add your name or whatever you want

I just fricken love the profile of this new C-Class, It appears that MB got some inspiration from BMW with the stubby front overhang, that gives the C a very aggressive look! The front, as well as the rest of the body work looks great to me! The only real weakness is the taillight design imo, I could still live with it. I also notice something else, the Star in the grill apprear to be a special package MB offers. Thank God thay didn`t move it from the grill of the orignal design!

Anyway this body work is just screaming for the AMG kit!

...except for the fact that they look almost identical to Audi gauges, just blue.
