The interior is a shock. I expected it to look very similar to the S-class yet it's completely different. The navigation screen location is a shock and reminds me of the old Infiniti G35-

And what would that card be? It must not be the maps, as the command system has a 30Gb hard drive for them...

that card is a PCMCIA card, it's like the slot in the S-class below the cd-changer

It hold mp3 songs...they're sort of old tech, even more when i think i've never seen one before...

Hi All,

I got up to watch this premiere at 5am (I'm from Australia), so eager was I to have a squiz at what the C would look like officially. (I thought there was too much dancing though , anyway)

I must say the New C is a stunner, especially with the AMG kit.
The pics posted here show a high quality interior too but i'll have to wait till June/July to see it in real life.

The proportions are great and looks awesome from every angle. Overall I'm very impressed .

I was thinking of the W209 CLK to replace my trust worthy W202 (yes, still driving a W202!!) but having seen this, I'm changing my mind. I know the CLK is more "upper class" but I reckon with the rigourous testing of this new C, I believe overall quality would be much better (until the 2009 CLK comes along anyway!!)

PS....i have to disagree on one comment which was made before, regarding the rear of the C which looks like the 3er sedan. IMO, it looks nothing like it and quite frankly, it looks much better.

So you were expecting a S Class interior in a C Class , and how much do you want to pay for the new C-Class ?

I think this popup screen is better than an G35 screen becuase it a bigger and operated by a motor and I think it tilts towards the driver or the passenger.

Initial impressions are that the exterior styling will take some getting use to, but shouldn't be all that bad considering the transition the W221 made when seen in photo's then in person. I like the interior a lot, reminds me of the good ol' days when MB interiors were the std. for all others. So it gets an "OK" from me, I like the 3er better for exterior design, for now.
