True. Honestly, the Suzuki makes that sorry Veyron chop look so bland that even Toyota Camry can point and laugh.

Suzuki needs to build that car.

Re: New Bugatti Royale?!?!?

If anyone can remember, Bugatti has a similar concept car way back in 1998 or 1999, it is called the Royale I think, you can google it.

Re: New Bugatti Royale?!?!?

Bugatti is and will always be about exclusivity. This is why the idea of a "baby Bugatti" has been ignored from the start. But in the near future, the company will bring a sporty sedan, as exclusive as the Veyron supercar. The name says it all "Royale."

The first Bugatti Royale (Type 41) was launched in the ’30s. It was a of the most extreme luxury cars ever built. It was enormous, with a 4300 mm wheelbase and 6.4 m overall length. It weighed approximately 3175 kg (7000 lb) and used a massive 12.7 liter straight-8 engine.
It seems that Bugatti wants to bring back the "Royale" name at the end of the decade. It will be an extremely luxurious limousine, built in a very limited number. It will be powered by a W16 engine and will hit a top speed of 400 km/h. Price? Around 1 million euro.

I guess it depends on what the strategy for Bentley is going to be.

If the Arnage replacement is priced to compete with the new smaller Rolls-Royce, then that would leave room in the VW stable for a super-exclusive Bugatti limousine to go up against the Phantom and Maybach 57/62.

As for the chop, it's horrible and not worthy of the Royale name. The original Royales were intended to be for royalty, Ettore Bugatti wanted to build the best limousine in the world, he considered Rolls-Royce to be the closest rival for the Royale. Unfortunately, the Royale was an economic disaster for Bugatti, the project nearly bankrupted the company. Only six Bugatti Royales were built, each one had a different body style.

Despite being intended for Royalty, no royals ever bought one, these cars were so expensive and so ostentatious, they were almost considered to be vulgar in their excess.

I think even today we can appreciate the quality of Bugatti design, so elegant and with perfect proportions.

It is not like the Veyron is not an economic disaster. Isn't it interesting that those days every one had to make money to survive unlike these days when you can get some big corporate sugar daddy like VAG to write it all off.

While they might have had a concept ten years ago, this "new" chop of the car is the EXACT rip-off of the Kazashi.

I wonder though how does a modern designer translate such simplistic beauty into a current production vehicle. Nearly, but not quite impossible IMO. I don't thing anything looked better back during those times than a Bugatti.

If VW could/would let Bugatti do a sedan now they'd be halfway done with the development, the W16 powertrain is already unbeatable and it is in production. All the need is an spectacular body and interior to match. Can you imagine what such a car would be like with the VW group behind the interior design and material specification? Maybach and Rolls would be trounced quite easily in nearly every way.

Re: New Bugatti Royale?!?!?

I can't wait for the Royale and next Arnage.

I have a feeling the the Arnage will be inits current position except for the W16 powered version which will be closer to the Royale's price of 1 Million dollars aka Maybach and RR competitors.

Will also be interesting to see how they rework the D4 Audi platform.
