| Bugatti Italian born Ettore Bugatti produced his first car in 1899 at the age of 19. In 1909 he started his factory in Molsheim, Alsace. Bugattis were known for their advanced engineering in their premium road cars. The company's success culminated with driver Jean-Pierre Wimille winning the 24 hours of Le Mans twice (in 1937 with Robert Benoist and 1939 with Pierre Veyron). Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998. |

 As many as six of the powerful 1,001 hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4 that has a top speed of 407km/h have now found new national owners. At an individual cost of AED 4.33 million (Euros1 million), the choice of colour is important: one red, one blue, one two-tone silver/black and one two-tone ice-blue/white. Gosh how amazing, that is such serious wealth - I mean did these people go to the show with the intention of buying a car?............or was is just an impulse buy?....I wonder. - I feel decidedly poor right now  |

I just posted a thread in the Pit about the amazing wealth in that region and the cars they buy. They have some kind of autoshow in Dubai and the money'd up in the area bought cars from all the high-end brands. Mercedes sold like 3 Maybach and 2 SLRs and 70 regular models. They all do good business there it seems. M |

Yes MJaaFY comes from Abu Dhabi, he is a really nice guy, A while ago we had a conversation about the huge growth of the economy in the United Arad Emirates - there has been a lot of new wealth generated there recently - and like in parts of the US and in the UK (particularly London) over-valued real estate is fueling the market quite a lot. |

That's quite amazing to go to an autoshow and just buy a car there, the wealth in that country is amazing! |
