Brooklands 1st year production Half Sold Out Already

What Bentley says is the world's most exclusive coupe made its North American debut in New York with the news that in the four weeks since customers first viewed Brooklands, more than half of the first year's production of about 140 cars are now reserved.

During its three-year production lifetime, Bentley will limit output to just 550 cars, according to Stuart McCullough, Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing. Production starts in 2008 and since each coupe will be entirely hand-built, employing traditional coachbuilding techniques to customer specification, 550 unique vehicles is possible.

This makes pricing variable, though officially prices will be set later this year. Insiders say it will be possible to specify cars for more than $400,000, but some will be hand-built for less than that. -Ken Zino

150/2 is 75 which is not good imho, for so little production, and such a "bombastic" car, i was expecting all the bling bling creed to go after it in a whim
the 550 will eventually all be sold, as i am sure 550 people around the globe will shell the needed money
but somehwere deep within me for such low volume i was expecting the whole production to be sold out already

That is 75 since it débuted 4 weeks ago. For Bentley that is very good sales.

I don't think it will take long for it to be sold out ...maybe by the end of May perhaps.

I'm not the least bit surprised. We have a snatch and grab exotic car market, especially when it comes to a vehicle like the Brooklands.
