2010 Porsche Boxster S Revealed By Internal Renderings - 07-16-2008, 12:49 AM

We have it on good authority that these renderings accurately show the 2010 Porsche Boxter S. In addition to the face-lifted looks, powertrain changes should make car faster and more fun to drive, with the Boxter S being boosted to 310 HP and 265 lb-ft of torque while returning better fuel economy. Update: It looks like LSD will be optional, although it's still not clear if it'll be mechanical or torque biasing.

I can barely tell the difference between the 2010 model and the current model.

I think Porsche needs to come up with something more distinctive to tempt current Boxster owners to trade-in their old Boxster. The economic conditions ahead are going to be tough and I speculate current owners will rather keep their existing Boxster than to trade-up to something that is only slightly different.

What do you expect? It's a facelift besides that the updates are very nice, DFI, PDK and LED tail lights.

Looks very nice - subtle yet distinctive changes that don't detract from the winning formula.

This car has more or less looked the same now for over 10 years. While handsome still I'm totally bored with the design. Now the 911 I can see keeping the same basic shape for years and years, but it is time for something new with Porsche's other sports cars like the Cayman and Boxster.

I'm with Martin on this. There is far too much emphasis being put on showy styling just for the sake of appealing to the unrefined sensibilities and short attention spans of the average moron in the street.

Sometimes a product doesn't need to shout for attention ...sometimes its OK to be reserved and quiet and just get on with the job of being outstanding.

This face lift is exactly what we could have expected from Porsche ...it is beautifully purposeful and modern.

My view on Porsche's styling has always been this:
"Nothing looks like a Porsche so why make a Porsche look like anything else?"

There you go Zuffenhausen - a nice new slogan for your Panamera ads. You're going to need it. LOL Use it, don't use it.

The Porsche designers have always refrained from making their cars looking like animals like Ferrari and Lamborghini have done to some of their cars.

Porsche designers believe a Porsche should always look like a machine with purposeful lines that are driven by engineering.
