Yeah all Autos have the paddles. In all honesty the Auto box suits the 335i and 335d so well.

Well, here in germany it is an option of 200 € or so…but if they are in england standard, I learn sth. new!

Actually REE thats just for thr 335i, you cannot buy a manual 335d in any country. The manual gearbox cannot supposedly take the torque.

Yeah, I know, I only spoke for the 335i and also notice that only the DCT automatic is available…

Re: 335i vs 335d at the drag strip

Hi

did your friend with the 996 turbo go to the pod on sunday?

There was a golf gti ed30 that did a 12.98 that day

Test driving a Leon Cupra K1 tomorrow and also a Astra VXR just for fun lol. Still need to get round to the audi and bmw dealerships to sample their offerings!

Thats amazing, well done to the owner. Must be the guy i know off another forum. 330bhp. Sounded like a good day for it, wish I could have made it, could have got close to the 12's myself maybe. Who knows.

No I dont think he did. I spoke to him Saturday night and he said he wasnt going to. Have not spoke to him since.

I have been looking at the tuning options for the 335i and 335d and it currently looks like the 335d is the better choice. Apparently bmw didnt want people to be able to mod the 335i and 335d and tuners are having alot of issues with the 335i. Apparently you need a special code to get into the ecu and that code got leaked by bosch employees who are now serving time in jail.

Just seems like tuners can remap a 335d alot more easily, and if the dpf was removed Im sure you would see big gains for little money on a car like the 335d.

Yes Poverty, that is correct. Although i heard they were ACS employees but i am not actually sure who they worked for.

Two companies in the UK can successfuly re-map the 335i to approx 370-380bhp.

One I know of had Limp home mode issues on track.

There are several ''plug in'' tuning devices which can get over 400bhp but limp mode is even more of an issue.

335d can be mapped easily 330-350bhp. But as you can see, pulls away from a stock 335i.

With an exhaust and filter 360+ should be accessible. With DPF delete who knows

Do you really think big gains could be had?
