What would like see changed at BMW?

I thought that the thread about your opinions on what mercedes needs to do was very insightful. So I thought I would do the same thing for BMW. What do you think needs to change at BMW. What would you like to see this company take on or change.

Personally I think BMW should change their idea on N/A engines. They ought to change to turbo chargers like the next 335 turbo. Why are they so compelled to make N/A engines? This way they will be able to get more low end torque (especially with twin turbos). Imagine the advantage they would have with an M5 that was turbo charged. They may learn this by building the 335 turbo. The M5 isnt going to have enough torque to compet with the AMG 63 engines...

Re: What would like see changed at BMW?

M should start producing facelifted models when facelifts occur, not saying they should change all the trim pieces they add on, but if the facelifted 6 were to get new headlight, well so shoudl the M6.

And then what Artist - you'll buy one - give me a break.

BMW are on the right track - the bold designs have worked wonders for them - they have reinvented themselves as the Bang & Olufsen of the car industry - they have become a design led manufacturer - but have never forgotten their position as leaders in advanced technology. The design changes at BMW may not be to everybody's taste - but one thing is undeniable - sales have been stronger than ever.

Re: What would like see changed at BMW?

- I love high-reeving engines and if a F/I stop an engine to be high-reeving I dont want F/I in M-cars.

- I want to see a supercar ala CGT

- Bimmers shouldnt be so damn expensive

- Manual stick available for all M cars.

Re: What would like see changed at BMW?

1. 8 series or Z8 successor
2. Supercar, ala CGT
3. M6 CSL
4. Complete new hedalights (facelift) for ugliest models X3 & Z4
5. More torque in ALL engines (i don't care how, i just want that!)
6. Some top enigne in 7er with is badge and M package
7. V8 4.0 diesel to be offered in both 6 and 5 series
8. V12 engine to get the power boost (500 hp minimum, they can and must do
that, can be related with point #6)
9. Hope that they won't mess the new X5 ( design)

That's about that!

Re: What would like see changed at BMW?

- supercar
- Z8 ( but if possible combined with supercar )
- stay the hell away from the M-engines with your turbo's
- 6 speed manual at least on every option list
- beter marketing: their press pictures are most of the time awfull
- please be a bit quicker with your new cars, can't stand the waiting

and it looks like 1-5 are already a sure thing

Re: What would like see changed at BMW?

1-They should make their models less pretentious
2-Improve the interiors to look and feel more luxurious
3-Lower the prices of some models like the 1 series and X3 which are too expensive no matter how you see it.
