Well I'm not going to give you a bunch of technical none sense but the M6 is a bit lighter and has a lower center of gravity due to the coupe shape and the lower height than the M5.

Ok but I thought you were discussion laptimes, thats why I asked

But its difficult to answer Warots question if people havent driven them both. Now people can only vote after the car they think looks better or what they think is a better car to drive. If people driven them both it would be easier to answer his poll. So I guess I have to take this poll with a grain of salt

Sorry I don't have any lap times to share . Hmm in this case it doesn't matter that much if you have driven them or not. You don't have to drive a car to know if it looks good, have four doors and is practical.

if you care about handling and sportiness you need too. But if you only want a 4-door and not a 2-door, then there is nothing to discuss

I do care about handling and sportiness but looks and practicality can sometimes out weigh those factors and in this case they do.

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

M5 for me! It's more practical than the M6, you can carry more people and stuff, and looks a bit better. It carries long long long history on her badge. BTW, i'm not into coupes.

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

This is a really hard poll for me! BTW I have sat in both cars!

The E39 M5 was the car that made me love BMW, it was my dream car when it came out and I loved it. I watched the development of the E60 in pictures closely, and the E60 is now my dream car, it looks awesome and nothing can beat it in it's segiment!

The M6 is a great looking car to me, even better than the M5 IMO and it's slightly faster! I think it's interior is nicer than the M5 due to it being cosy and everything it to hand!

Now if I was married and had kids my choice would be different, but I'd take the M6, in black please, and red leather!

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

M6 all the way, much better looking, much more exclusive, better finish materials like the 7er and a better investment overall.
5 years after my M6 will be a lot more $$ than your old M5.
