They had a lot more to say about the 3er, 7er and Z4 than the other models! Watching these videos just reminds me how much I love BMW designs! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bangle and Hooydonk discuss the 7er Facelift A hilarious gem of monumental BS significance has been sitting under right under our noses - for how long I'm not sure. Go to the link below and check out the video on the 7er. http://www.bmwusa.com/uniquelybmw/De...gnersSpeak.htm This is like the holy grail for anybody who's been obsessing over the E65 since its release. Now only if we could have given the two of them some truth serum. Hilights include: • "[Never a 7er with] this much true driving experience" • Bangle at a loss for words, blurts out "techniques" • "Power dome!" • "Theoretical line" • "Only a modeling like ours can do..." • Both guys keeping a straight face when discussing the car's rear. I'm just being snide because I think the facelift of the 7er was a knee-jerk sellout that happened because the BOD got nervous after the E65 got so many catcalls. Anyways, rest of the videos are a blast. There's too many inane comments to make so I'll leave it up to you guys. It's nice that BMW threw together these videos but it's really dissatisfying at the same time, because never do we hear Bangle speak about the things we're actually thinking about. Unfortunately, there's much too little said about the 5er and 6er. The best video is the 3er video, although I'm not sure why it seems that Hooydonk is explaining the car as though he was showing homework to his teacher. Silver is the color that tends to extoll the virtues of the current BMW design regime, provided you have the right lighting. If white, dark or non-specular colors were used in these videos some of the conversation might've made no sense at all. Did anybody check out the 6er video? Did you find it hilarious when Chris gets to talking about the rear of the car that it "concludes with two tailpipes..." - Huh? I mean, there's many interesting things about the 6er's rear, but those tailpipes certainly aren't one of them. The funny thing in lots of these conversations is that he'll go from discribing the cars with deep detail and authority to speaking in bland generalities worthy of Matt Lauer on the Today Show. Wierdness I tell you. |

![]() | Re: Bangle & v. Hooydonk explaining BMW designs I've seen most of these videos before- the Z4 spot for example was shot a coupla years ago and recently updated. You can see Bangle walking around the earlier version in the studio while the video inserts the redesigned model for shots on the road. I love Bangle's presentation- part bohemian hipster and part wide-eyed kid. He mixes complicated ideas into simple phrases punctuated with finger snaps/whistles. Very convincing and entertaining. |
