Try using an analogy you have some background knowledge on Matt. I would have said "Bangles designs have gone from the Ellen's to Lima's of the auto industry".

Re: Bangle, no Bangle?

I will still stand by the fact that the E39 is still one of the best looking cars BMW has ever made... it's so well proportioned. However, Bangle cars are just more fun to look at. So I have to say Bangle, definitely.

Well apart from the E39 which I thought looked brilliant, the new cars are more desirable for me...

E90
E60... I like it... better with sport package
E63....
E65... the granddady of new BMW design.
and Z4 is better than Z3

Re: Bangle, no Bangle?

Great thread. At first I was the number one Bangle basher in Sweden but after I have calmed down and digested some of his desigen I have become an in-closet-BMW-fan.

The designs I like:
3er
Z4 + Z4 coupe

Stuck in the middle:
1er
7er

The designs I dislike:
6er
5er

At the end of the day I give BAngle a thumb up. Giving a brand a design language make up is extreamly hard, especially if you want to make the whole world happy but I think he has done a pretty good job.

Re: Bangle, no Bangle?

Break down...

Kind of odd, both generations are Bangle...

Flame design favorites:
-E90
-Z4
-E65/66
-E87

Flame mediocres:
-E60

one's that I don't like:
-E63/4

Old gaurd fav's:
-E38
-E46
-E36
-E53
-E39

Bangle was only head of design in the latest generation though.
