Interview with CEO of M-GmbH

some interest statements from CEO of M-GmbH Ludwig Willisch in a interview with Auto, Motor & Sport
BMW M GmbH: Priorität liegt auf neuen Segmenten Wirtschaft + Handel bei auto motor und sport

a few points:
-from todays viewpoint: no E92 M-touring, no E92 CSL
-probably downsized, loaded engines next time
-Ceramic brakes in the development
-no M7, also maybe no Z4(E89)M
-M-developted X6 & X5 soonest end next year

I thought Gerhard Richter was the head of ///M? I can understand them not building an M3 touring but why cancel the E92 CSL!?? What is wrong with these guys!

Re: Interview with CEO of M-GmbH

Screw philosophy. I can't see why damp a Z4 M for X5/X6 M!

Judging by these decisions I don't think I like Mr. Willisch...

Re: Interview with CEO of M-GmbH

It's not M's CEO decision what to produce, and what not.

BMW AG Board of Directors makes all the decisions. Based on ... marketing & financial aspects. They approve only what it sells well, and is profitable enough.

I guess they figured out X5 M & X6 M will bring much more money than eg. Z4 M, M3 CSL, or M7.

The money (profit-hungry investors) has killed the spirit! Very sad.

Re: Interview with CEO of M-GmbH

its okay to invest in areas where its easy to gain money, in the end its this money which gets invested in new developments
but at the same time they shouldn't forget their heritage and their core audience
and questioning a Z4M, is in my opinion crazy
