Definitely the new 7-series. I would hate to drive one of these SUV/SAV! I don't see the point of driving them in cities or on the autobahn…

Re: Poll: Luxury BMWs: X6 xDrive50i or new 750i?

The X6 would paint me as a quirky and an environmentally-irresponsible person. I'd much rather have the 750i as a typical executive.

Easily X6 at this point. New 7-Series looks a mess, X6 is BMW's 2nd best looking vehicle behind the M3 Cabrio.

Re: Poll: Luxury BMWs: X6 xDrive50i or new 750i?

I definitely would pick X6, very comfortable and spacious car for any kind of trips, new 7-er don’t satisfy me completely. It has more gadgets, but I’m not sure about its look. X6 would be more I say “exotic” for business meetings.

Please guys, read Martin's post where he explains the scenario!

Here I think the 7er fits the needs best. It offers more space for rear passengers (which is where the big shots are used to travel in) and has the genuine image of a large executive saloon.

Re: Poll: Luxury BMWs: X6 xDrive50i or new 750i?

^ Well for those reasons it's the 7er but it didn't get my vote, the X6 did.Anyway i would never buy a car of that size even if i can afford it,the biggest thing i want would be C63/M3 size wise

Re: Poll: Luxury BMWs: X6 xDrive50i or new 750i?

But if you look at the typical buyer of either - both here in SA and in more sophisticated markets potential BMW buyers comprise the same demographic don't they (wealthy, style-conscious, influential)? They may be quite specific in their requirements but I do see the two cars as being viable alternatives.

Look at Bartek; he's probably one of the most likely to afford a 7er out of most of us and yet - he chooses the X6. Interesting no?

Caught a fleeting glimpse of my first X6 in the opposite lane today. Black. Looked good.

And you guys have to realise this:
while the interior of the X6 and F01 are pretty look-alike, I can tell you that the quality of materials in the F01 is on a whole different level.

Re: Luxury BMWs: X6 xDrive50i or new 750i?

X6 for me. In acceleration it should be just as fast as the F01. Driving dynamics are probably very very equal. There's nothing about the F01 that makes me desire from an aesthetic point of view. X6 is so much more attractive and is very fun to drive as well.
