| Re: BMW "Never stand still" event Project. The world's largest hourglass has been standing at the Red Square in Moscow since 6th July 2008. The gigantic construction manufactured from acrylic and steel symbolises extraordinary success, which in turn serves as starting point for new levels of performance. Total height: 11.90 metres Width: 7.80 metres Permanent weight: 40 tonnes Height of visitor platform: 7.94 metres Illumination: 44 fluorescent fixtures Balls: 180,000 pieces of 75 millimetre diameter Project duration: 4 months Construction: 9 days with 20 staff      Last edited by EnI; 07-06-2008 at 08:55 PM. |

As for your question Rob, I think Eni meant that the entire project of constructing the hourglass has taken 4 months, and that it has been situated in Red Square since July 6th, 08. Quote:

| Re: BMW "Never stand still" event why russia ? why so close after the 7series annoucement ? why in a public area ? this is really confusing me russia is about the rich people - luxery this shouldn't be about a new car - maybe a new individual line a public area is more about a party, an event - you wouldn't close it directly after the annoucement they said its about bmws image they said its about performance never stand still some new engine or manufactoring developments, would only bor people ... ... i'm confused |
