How to make a modern BMW body "lightweight"..

This is the "cage" a 1930s BMW 328 was constructed out of in order to reduce weight.

And here is a 1939 BMW 328 which won the Mille Miglia. According to the BMW stewarts on site this car is the "original"!!!

Racing suits - modern and old...

Formula One

BMW's motorsport history is not only confined to cars but motorycles. Here we have some of their most famous bikes including that "teardrop" shaped machine which achieved a speed very close to 300 km/h in the 1930s which remained unbeaten until the late 1950s if memory serves me right.

Some BMW engines - perfection.
