Lol...sorry I didn't mean it should have won overall. But the MB diesel should have won it's segment. MB is the master of diesels. The 3.2CDI in the ML is much more refined the the 3.0L in our X5. ![]() | |

I'm not disputing BMW is king of petrol engines (though this is also debatable lol but let’s not go there) but MB is no slouch when it comes to diesels.What I realllly want to do is have a test drive of the 3 litre twin turbo BMW engine. MB has diesels on the market today but still no award so what you are saying here is that the Bluetech engine is the only good diesel engine from MB ![]()

Uhm....it's not all about car x having more Nm and hp than car y. It's about how the engine works and behaves as well. BMW simply makes better diesel engines. In fact, BMW makes the best engines period. Soon there will be hybrid engines from BMW winning awards too.
