According to my info Dinglofing plant will produce all "large" platform cars (5er, 6er, 7er, 8er, Z8, large PAS - F5 (or F6 or F7 ). As well as RR bodies. There are some ideas to finish the 8er in either Goodwood (RR plant), or M Individual garage.

If you do not like PAS - it's an easy task for you: do not buy it. Very simple. But some (many!!!) people will buy it. Thousands people per year.

And I guess BMW satisfied your needs quite well since you drive 535d, and very much interested in X5 & X6.


I'm sick & tired of internet "experts" who bitch all over the place. BMW are about business - and you're a businessman as well, Saša - so you should know in business you have to be innovative & gain advantages over competitors to be successful. And since core markets are saturated, BMW are entering & opening niche markets. They are not experimenting - such decisions are based on analyses, researches, financial calculations etc. Excuse me, but I trust BMW officials - they have all the arguments why eg. PAS, X6 & X1 are important for BMW, and why some performance car is not. Especially now when EU is trying to de facto ban performance cars due excessive gas emissions!

Please, all the BMW-future-strategy doubters, tell me your version of a strategy. What new product should BMW introduce to gain sales, revenues & profits + cutting costs at the same time, in your opinion.

Wohoo so a MINI SUV is coming. The idea sounds very cool and adorable. Hopefully it will have four and perhaps updated design and interior.

At least X1 is coming!

Just a warning: the camo is very deceiving!
Be sure PAS is a very cool car. Something like E53 X5 back then when initially introduced.

It's huge and it has enormous presence! Perhaps even more than X6 - since X6 design is quite familiar due the X5 similarities.

And ... A shock! ... PAS looks sportier than X6! Yet not as exciting (less dynamic styling) though - since it is a "sedan" and therefore more formal in design.

Yet personally I would choose PAS over any BMW Touring or SAV instantly!

If your 1st priority when you go for a car isn't design, but rather space and functionality, then i understand. But still, i think you're too fast if you get what i mean...

Or maybe you saw this PAS already?

Regarding space & functionality: X5 is way more spacious & functional than PAS.

Also the design of PAS is much more appealing then the design of X5 (which looks horribly boxy when compared to PAS and even X6). Not to mention the design is much more advanced & modern.

Did I see it IRL? The real uncamoed car? Definitely not. But I know quite some people who did see the car IRL.

Man, you know what's boxy? A Mercedes-Benz G class, not X5!

Something coming in few years is expected to be of modern and advanced design, but judging from the shape... Sorry, i don't think it'll be that appealing and jaw dropping like X5, say what you want.
