Also do not forget "BMW soup bowl" - the BMW Museum building next to the BMW AG HQ. The museum is being expanded (under construction now), and will be re-opened in the Spring next year.




And the HQ building as well. The notorious 4-cylinder building - still one of the most impressive buildings in Muenchen. It was renovated lately. The most impressive part of the building is the sapceship-like construction on the roof.

^^This is still the most significant building of the lot in terms of its historical relevance. This current trend for bold architecture is very exciting but few of these buildings are genuinely important examples of contemporary high-architecture ....but they do achieve their objective, which is simply attracting attention and communicating a sense of dynamism and design culture for the brands they were built for.

The BMW Welt - Pre Openning October 2007

Thanks to my friend Chris Roehm, I can proudly show you some new photos from the BMW Welt in Munich. It seems like everything it's almost ready for the Grand Opening next week. With this occasion, I would like to inform that edBMW will be represented there by me. I'm scheduled to leave this Friday and I will be in Germany for about a week. Then I have a road trip to Amesterdam before I board for the States.
So, we will keep you informed on the latest news from the Welt along with new photos and videos. This is suppose to be a great event and an awesome party.
You can see in this new photos how amazing this new delivery center will be. In case you have missed our previous coverage on the Welt, you can always go back and read the history behind it, along with some pre and post construction photos.

Just read an article in AMS about this! It's like Porsche - you will have to pay an extra of 457 €, if you want to get the delivery in the new BMW Welt...
