I know the source of your news, what counts (afaic) is that it's from SportAuto (the award)...

It's amazing the M3 is still winning awards all these years later, it's going to be a hard act to follow!

actually its the new M3 V8, M3 E46 isnt being built anymore.

How can that be the case, if they haven't tested the car yet!

You can't just guess that a car would be sporty!

Oh right, so it's decided by the readers! Looks good for BMW, but I can't really take it seriously!

this is no different from other surveys done by the readers, hence Autobild, Top Gear etc etc. This shows that people still think BMW is a sporty brand, if they didnt think so they would vote for something else. People still thinks bmw build sporty cars, thats a good thing.
M3 only won in the category "Coupés to 90,000 euro". M6 didnt get an award at all.

Oh and bmw takes this serious becuase they have an article on their webpage for the press.
