DWUSA was created in Malibu (CA, USA) in 1972 by Charles W. Pelly & Co. The office moved to Aguora in 1983.
In 1986 they got first BMW design project: 850i seats.
In 1988 the company moved to Newbury Park (CA, USA).
In 1991 BMW AG acquired a large stake in DWUSA.
In 1992 the first BMW car was conceived by DWUSA: exterior of E46 3er (by Erik Goplen).
In 1995 BMW AG bought the remaining stake in DWUSA, becoming a 100% owner of the company.
In 1998 the DWUSA studio in Munich was opened.
In 2006 the DWUSA studio in Singapore was opened.

BMW cars (exteriors) designed by DWUSA designers:

What about the 7er & 6er ? Did AVH designed them in Fiz Studio before being Promoted as the Head DWUSA ? ANd i thought the Rolls Team designed the car in what they called as "The Bank" ?

Exactly. Till 2000 AVH worked as BMW exterior designer in Munich / FIZ, and then promoted to Head of automotive design at DWUSA, and in 2001 he was named President of DWUSA.

Correct.

The Bank was RR design office established by BMW AG via newly established RR Design Team - using DWUSA staff. Note: it was mainly a DWUSA team involved in the "Tha Bank" project! Djordjevic (DWUSA designer) led the Phantom exterior design team & was also responsible for establishing the "Bank" office. Ian Cameron was the RR design team chief designer at that time - now he is a Director of design RRMC. After a good job on Phantom project Djordjevic was rewarded with official promotion to Head of RR Exterior design & Creative Director of DWUSA Automotive design department.

Similar case with E87 / E81 1er, and E83 X3: DWUSA designers Chris Chapman & Geoff Velasco designed the exteriors, but the teams were mixed (not exclusivelyDWUSA staff, or not even majority of DWUSA staff) so DWUSA does not take credits for these 2 cars although thier designers penned them.
