Top Gear the new TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI with DSG and Magnetic dampers early this year. The TT tested was the "mere" front-wheel-drive model with the 2.0 16V Turbo 200 Bhp from the Golf GTI.

It lapped around the (dry) TG test-track in 1:31.4. The old Audi 3.2 V6 Quattro equipped with DSG went around the same (dry) track in 1:32.7.

Put it simple, the new Audi TT is the fastest FWD car to go around the TG track.

This is a very revolutionary system and we can only hope to see the new RS6 C6 to be fitted with the Magnetic dampers. It's a shame they didn't fit the A5/S5 with this technology.

The Ferrari use this system, but they claim it is more developed than the version used by others. The Corvette C6 and the Cadillac Seville uses the Magnetic ride control as well.

A5 and A4 will eventually get the magnetic ride. Why that hasn't been done yet i 'm not quite sure. Perhaps the dumpers are not produced in mass quantities yet to allow enough supply.
