BTW, I can see why Audi was popular in Sweden. One word: Quattro.

And of course, other factors, but I am pretty sure that Quattro must have been a big factor. And IMHO, Audi makes the best 4WD / AWD systems of the Germans.

you see sweden isnt like germany. In swedish carmags swedish cars lose a lot of comparions, when was the last time a german car lost in a germancarmag?

There have been German cars who lost to foreign cars in German magazines. I believe the VW Eos recently lost to some French or Japanese car in one of the last AMS.

Yeah, I agree on that. But the mags do give credit where credit is due. Lexus has been praised for example, but then again, they also don't give the European consumer what they want - hence they can't really win every comparo or be a threat to the established European brands.
