I think they are focusing on sporty ness.. The threath is larger against BMW.. So no merger for me please.. Ensam är stark is something we say in sweden..

How come? The Detroit News reports sporty performance cars are out. BMW formula is bad, and BMW will be hurt badly. I don't think anybody would like to follow BMW formula in such a case. Porsche is offering their sporty sedan, SUV is already there ... perhaps even smaller sedan or SUV or roadster or coupe may come ... So one sporty brand is more than enough. IMO they would go after MB with core line, and after BMW with S / RS line. | |

I think upcoming AMG's will be sportier than ever. BMW arent the only ones building sporty cars anymore.

The worrying part is the amount of resources and R&D that will be available to them. Look at those brands put together: Audi, Porsche, Lambo, Bugatti., Bentley. If I told you I wasn't intimidated by that, I'd be lying to you. It's so immature to think, oh Company X will ruin Company Y... how so?! I can see great things coming out of a partnership between the 2 companies. Remember, these are the top dogs of the premium market... for now. |

| Re: Porsche wants to help develop RS-badged Audis MB´s answer to Audi,Porsche ,Lambo , Bugatti and Bentley should be Mercedes, Mclaren, Aston Martin Lagonda, Maybach... And possibly someday allthough i hope that day never comes PAGANI.. THey will never sell as many cars.. but they would sure as hell look better.. and have more appeal.. But thats just a distant dream
