Well BMW managed to pack the turbos between the cylinders, I suppose the BMW engineers have a V8 to play with, and the 5, X5, X6, 7-series has more space inside the engine bay than the A4/S4.

This has got to be nonsense!

286 bhp (210 kW) at 4850 rpm from a supercharged 3.0 litre, wow, that's really moving the game on.

I think that's the detuned version where the supercharger is mainly for torque... should end up in A6, while the "as originally intended" version would output around 350 hp, just enough so the next generation S4 buyers wouldn't feel they got a weaker engine.

That's what I'm thinking too. 210 kW (286 hp) would be too close to 3.2 FSI and S3 (both 195 kW/265 hp).

The new 290 hp 3.0KFSI V6 engine will replace the 265 hp 3.2 V6 FSI engine in the A6, the S3 2.0TFSI will replace the atmo V6 FSI.

^ You know this for sure? Sounds like absolute bullsh!t to me...

The 2.0 TFSI in the S3 is too turbo-laggy for use in a run-of-the-mill A6.

Pretend away but do it on some other forum.
