![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | World's First Audi Terminal Opens in Sydney ![]() The first in a global series of dealerships built using German luxury brand, Audi’s new architectural concept has been officially opened at Five Dock in Sydney. Audi Five Dock, at No. 1 Parramatta Road, is the world’s first Audi ‘Terminal’ to be completed, cementing Australia’s reputation as a strategically-important growth market for the brand. Construction of the AUD $ 12 million Audi Five Dock facility began in March 2007. Located on the third busiest intersection in NSW at the corner of Parramatta and Great North Roads, Audi Five Dock heralds the brand’s visionary architectural concept for high-density locations. Ideal for busy streetscapes and cities where land values are extremely high, the new Terminal concept is highly flexible in its design. For example, Audi Terminals can be either single-storey or multi-storey, and can be built on busy streets using a small footprint. ![]() Audi Five Dock is owned and operated by Sydney businessman, Ian Pagent, with business partners, son Nick Pagent, and Dwyer Ogle. Luxury property builders, Infinity Constructions, completed the building in 8 months. Audi Australia’s managing director, Joerg Hofmann, says the steady growth of the brand in Australia is being well-supported by the national dealer network, and facility investment such as Audi Five Dock is a clear demonstration of this. “Audi is a growing brand in Australia, with several record years of sales growth already proven. Investing in the brand’s public face is an important step in continuing to raise the image and awareness of the brand as a key player in the luxury market in Australia,” Mr Hofmann said. “Ian Pagent and his team are our strong partners in the Sydney market with three Audi dealerships in their portfolio. The opening of Audi Five Dock is significant as it points to the confidence of the dealer network in the brand.” The development of the facility at Five Dock has been realised in part thanks to the vision and leadership of the Audi brand, according to Ian Pagent. ![]() “It is a clear demonstration of our passion for the brand and our belief in its future in Australia,” he said. Audi’s Terminal architecture is based around the theme of dynamism and simultaneously curved and arched features such as the windows and interior surfaces in the new 2,000 square metre building at Five Dock reflect this theme. Key brand values for Audi include ‘sportiness’ and ‘progression’ which are borne out by the layering of curved and arched surfaces to create spaciousness, along with the use of transparent and opaque glass and frameless windows. The unique canted and perforated, honeycombed aluminium facade of the building reinforces the sophistication and understated design elegance of the Audi brand. According to Joerg Hofmann, by 2015 the Audi range will grow from around 25 to 40 new models, and the entire Audi network in Australia will be renovated or rebuilt to make room for this product onslaught. Audi Five Dock is the first of many new developments for the brand Down Under. http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Audi_News/article_3795.shtml ![]() ![]()

This place isn't that far off from where I live, so hopefully I can go and check it out within the next 2 weeks.
