No this car is Volvo based. It does have some Jaguar overtones to the interior though. I'm sure Lincoln took all the inspiration from Jaguar they could, but the chassis is Volvo F/AWD through and through.

Edit: It does have some Jaguar overtones...not "doesn't".

Yes is one of our better efforts, at least on paper. The interior in particular is a revelation for a Lincoln. You can see some of Lincoln's other gawd-awful interiors in some of earlier post in this thread.

Yup I did see those truck Lincoln interiors, plus the square gauges. I'm glad Lincoln is slowly finding its way back. I now always have a good impression of American cars because last year at NYC I took a Lincoln taxi to the airport and the ride and engine was just so brilliant. Even though it's an old model.

Cool, your grandma has a '70s Lincoln, Merc1? I love those big, thirsty old Lincolns. Which model does she have?

I actually like the '70s features. When I first saw the MKX SUV, I thought the front looked great because it has a similar grille to the '64 Continental.

Well she passed some years ago so I'm not exactly sure which model it was. I just remember being a kid and literaly getting lost inside of this huge car. It had those power headlight covers too. I'll have to ask around to find out what model it was.

It's about some time those guys in Dearborn grew some brass balls!

In one fell swoop Lincoln is, quite possibly, relevant. This is a very good looking car, and even sports an interior I could live with.

I think Ford was wise to steal from all the right cars for this one. The Mazerati influence on the backside is a great touch.
